Team India won the Asia Cup for the sixth time beating Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday in the final match against India set a target of 121. With the help of a brilliant innings by Shikhar Dhawan (60) and Virat Kohli (41 not out) acquired it in 13.5 overs at the loss of 2 wickets.
India lost Rohit Sharma as the first wicket at the total score of 5. Then Kohli and Dhawan added 94 runs for the second wicket in 67 balls. Dhawan played his biggest innings for T-20 hitting 60 runs in 44 balls having 9 four and 1 six.
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni returned unbeaten on 20 runs in 6 balls including a four and two sixes in his inning. Earlier, India won the toss and bowled 15 overs due to rain reduced the match to 15 overs, the hosts were restricted to 120 runs for 5 wickets.
Bangladesh team reached the final for the second time, Mahmudullah Riaz contributed an unbeaten 33 runs while Shabbir Rahman contributed an unbeaten 32 runs. Ashwin from India, Nehra, Bumrah and Jadeja took one each.
In the last two overs, India required 19 runs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni dashed it with a fatal six over deep mid-wicket off Al-Amin and another great blow over deep extra cover before finishing the match with another six.
